A STORY retreat
Story is how we make sense of the world around us. Our faith, beliefs and hopes are built up or shattered from the stories of our lives. We believe that every person has 6-8 specific stories that have shaped the the trajectory of our lives and the way we view ourselves and relate to other people. Evil has used these specific stories to harm us in ways that we are not even aware of. At every retreat, each person spends time alone with God to write and explore one of those stories in a safe group of 4-5 others. Where there once were lies, harm, shame and confusion, there is now truth, kindness, honor and clarity. We become aware of why we do the things we do and why we believe certain things about ourselves and others.
We invite you to come and explore your own story at one of our retreats. All facilitators have been trained by Dan Allender, PhD at the Seattle School for Theology and Psychology. (If CoED, retreat teaching and morning worship are co-ed, but when registering, you may select men only, women only or co-ed Story Group preference.)
